I'm interested to know and kind of sad.... in this places short life so far, i've come to like it. Was cool to see it take off and become active but now it's slowing down Sad

Interestingly, the memberlist here is still double that of newmisc

I think this place is going dark in a week or two. 156 Members over at New Misc.

More will jump ship over the course of the month from other forums too when they become aware.

Miscreformed should close down soon for the sake of the community. Having two competing Forums will destroy misc in the long run. I thought we were all on the same page and knew miscreformed was temporary and Newmisc is permanent.

Wouldn't call them competing brah.

I can see both forums surviving alongside each other.

If this one gets shut down, we have newmisc.

If I get hit by a bus, we have miscreformed.

I am making plans to have a backup plan, so newmisc can continue if something happens to me. Will likely give server access to wickedsmaht/mm. Still working out the details on my end.

Smart idea keeping both open


NewMisc is great - still both forums need improvements. My main issue with this forum is latency, it's 5+ seconds to open any thread or the main page for me. Still, it's great, we should have both, even as a backup! Smaht brah saved us.

I'd sticky a thread announcing the other site.
After a few weeks maybe close forum to new posts (if you can do that?) but leave it here just in case.
Just think you (admin/mod) will get tired of keeping up with porn trolls, and for what? but that's up to you gjuys.
Think you should sticky a link either way. Unawares might get bored with lack of traffic and leave not knowing the rest of us are on new misc.

I've had no latency issues other than for threads with lots of images/gifs, but it's honestly much the same as oldmisc, which didn't bother me and somehow adds to the experience.

Never had any ad trouble (but am using firefox with uBlock origin adblocker).

I signed up for newmisc.com . The site has a nice layout, so I'm cool using it.

But we really should consolidate all of the users/activity into one place. If / when newmisc's member list gets the same amount of people as this site does, then I would consider closing this one and making people use newmisc
