100% this. None of that shit spam, no personality politics arguing BS like both OG and the last other attempt, fitmisc had. The lack of gay mods banning people they don't like is also nice. I really only see mods needing to step in for spammers (like muzzlpress troll), and outwardly illegal content.

The one downside is that there’s still far less activity here than in the OG site

Hopefully with time that will change. Hopefully traffic increases with activity and some SEO strategies which others have been discussing.

I only started posting in the old misc very recently, but from my noob perspective if this forum gets a dark mode and more activity it will be just as good.

In a way I think there needs to be some rules though, if not we'll never see another "goodnight sweet prince" post again. What makes an internet meltdown great is when someone goes over the line.

I mean this website actually works, so that already makes it better. The original misc set a pretty low bar

This is already 99% as good, once the traffic picks up, it'll be better.

Only drawback is no thread preview when you hover over thread title. And so far it doesn't sign me in automatically or keep me signed in even though I check that option. Neither is that big of a deal though, just minor annoyance.

Situation has not necessarily developed to our advantage

If my gym changes the location of even a single machine I have a meltdown and it ruins my day lol

It's dead and it will never be more populated than this. I mean who's going to find this forum? Bet it doesn't even show on Google. It's just a dark corner of the internet

In some ways all the crazy spamming was just part of the misc appeal weirdly enough. I admit, trolling meant something back in my day but at least there was some type of trolling even if low effort.
