true, pretty much everyone is 30+, since we stumbled the misc during the golden age of early 2000s bodybuilding in our teens
have you stopped doing squats and barbell rows? why not just do leg press, lunges or something else?
I've tried to bring squats back into my routine multiple times but my lower back always ended up getting hurt despite progressing slowly. I've been doing alternatives like lunges and leg press machines which is better than nothing but they're nowhere as efficient as squats which hits the legs, glutes and core all in one go. Sucks because if I can do squats I can get lower body training done very quickly.
For free weight rowing I do dumbbell rows in place of barbell rows. I've always wanted to bring back barbell rows into my routine because they're the most hardcore back exercise but some things just aren't meant to be.
so you were doing squats to save time? what is your ultimate goal? compete in powerlifting, get big legs, compete in bodybuilding?
I don't care for big legs. I haven't done squats in 3 years, in fact i stopped doing leg exercises except a few weeks out of the year i'll do pistol squats or sprints. I walk a lot and do martial arts, ride ebikes.

I don't have a specific goal. I'm basically a bro lifter that likes training predominantly upper body and progressing on lifts like bench.
I don't care for big legs either but from experience if I don't train my legs and core I get random injuries due to the upper to lower strength imbalance being too big. So I train my lower body but try to be time efficient with it which it what squats would be useful for. I have periods where I bike ride (the 2 wheeled kind ) but I find it doesn't do much for leg strength.

Same, i'm a minimalist bro lifter, so i'll do just enough compound exercises to maintain and grow muscle mass in upper body and progress on bench/OHP. I also want to look decent, so having big legs makes my upper body look smaller and less tall. what random injuries do you get? have you tried stretching or doing some bodyweight lower body exercises?

Just things like my lower back hurting on incline barbell bench lol. When I was able to squat regularly it was never a thing. But nowadays I have to actively brace on incline barbell bench otherwise it fuarks my lower back. I never thought about it before I experienced pain on the exercise but unlike on flat bench, I realised the angle of the bench on incline means a portion of the weight is actually directly loading the core.
