i had a few ideas
maybe someone loaded a forum code breaker into it for laughs and it was too much for the old software .
a mod ip banned the new server ip address for laughs and it blocked all the data from around the 8/26 causing a massive blockage of data that crashed the forum
bb staff bought a cheap low end server which crashed after it filled up with too much data
hackers broke into the database and stole all the user data which in turn overloaded the server causing a crash
trolls for fun hacked the forum and broke it

The CIA and Mossad, in a joint effort, confiscated all of the data, killed the forum for good, and sent in-person spies to watch all of us.
