I also don't think Trump is the fix everything candidate that a lot of people think he is. Yes he will be a lot better for border and energy policy, and he has a couple other good ideas like the no taxes on tips/overtime thing, but some of his other policies or likely policies are questionable or just won't happen. The America first, protect our own businesses and farmers, tariffs, all that stuff is fine. The whole government oversight committee headed by Elon Musk will never get passed. He's a somewhat modernized trickle down candidate and that sort of thing only helps the rich get richer. He beats the drum on low capital gains taxes and how everyone would be devastated by it, but completely ignores a tiered system of taxing capital gains (similar to our income tax system) where we could leave average people's retirement funds completely untouched and just tax capital gains in excess of several million or something like that. His ties to Saudi Arabia are also particularly troubling.

He's the better candidate for border security and energy policy which happen to be two of the most important issues this election, but when you consider all the other stuff there will still be a lot of problems for this country. He's currently the lesser of two evils in this election, which is usually the case with any candidate in any presidential election. Both parties play a role and the people really calling the shots won't lose any influence.

I honestly think that if Harris wins the election, liberals are going to get cocky AF talking about how they are going to take everything from everyone and I honestly think people are going to say fuk it about doing anything extra.
