Yeah, that was one of the main reasons for wanting to do this.
The power will be completely in our hands.
I'm currently using an EC2 instance hosted on AWS. I'm doing daily database backups, so if they ever drop us(which has a super low chance of happening), we can move somewhere else quickly.

I have very rudimentary experience with vBulletin. Another forum I was on started to go downhill a while back and we made a forum that we tried to get people to switch to but it didn't last. I was one of the main admins for that forum. This was like 2012 or something though so probably an even earlier version than Misc was running. I also never did any of the actual coding, so I would probably be useless for most of the things you need. If there is anything I can help with though I'd be glad to.
This is good shit though, Misc will live on
For sure brah. There are like 12 built-in themes. We can keep at least a dark and a light, maybe some more too.
