3- ads should be selective,aka its good to get cash and it will help
4- have a store in the website,sells limited iteams or refer them to ebay/amazon store.
5-look into buying or getting access to old misc data base
6-use Bizzee list.

Only thing I'd want is for it to look like old misc. Maybe with the subforums trimmed down since a few of them were almost totally dead.

I had 2 million+ reps, but are these going to be actual reps or just for show?  I don't really care but rep system was better when 20k was a whale.  A lot or inflation came from donation threads (buying reps) but doesn't reflect a quality poster.  Sucked starting out with 10 reps, but it was still better.

3. Def look into what mod tools are available.  idk bc we never had any (added) but remember PlanetGetLow saying they had like a "one-touch spam ban" which allowed banning and deleting all posts with one click.  If the forum gets spammy and/or only mod online or cleaning up after no mods online it's really going to help.

3a. IP banning is tricky with VPN and mobile IPs.  Unless it's for India/China spammers I wouldn't even use it.  Other reasons  I don't like it, but not going to discuss publicly.

3c. Should be able to filter some with sign-up verificarion/ not allowing throwaway emails.

Why bother when its all about the face?

On a vBulleting forum years ago there were hidden forums. No direct link to them so you had to manually change the forum number in ther URL.

Like the old Misc looked like 'f=19 at' the end of the URL and you would just change the number to access the hidden forums, but you had to have 50 posts first.
